I really hope Democracy prevails in Pakistan and we Indians, I think, have enough love left for our Pakistani brothers to open our gates to commerce and cultural ties with them when the mutual trust is regained.

well i dont know respected speakers background, but if i am not wrong then founding fathers of pakistan r muhammad allama iqbal and muhammad ali jinnah…….and correct me if i m wrong they never wanted british or so called modern democracy in pakistan if some one is sayin this than either he dont know allama iqbal n jinnah or either r blind………basis of iqbals whole poetry is raisin a muslim state which would lead the muslim followin islamic econmical, political and social system.

Pakistan is a poor country cuz of other countries involvement in Pakistan… and you know the reasons of involvement… they know that if we are developed we gonna rule the world as we have done before

  5. shoaibbaz says:

i would just like to say that if you think that Islam is the problem for peace then soon there will be civil war in whole world because Islam is the fastest growing religion of the world… moreover i would suggest you that you sould study Islam… i admit that there are some muslims who are creating problems but you cant blame a car because of its driver…

@hassansardarshan.. All other democratic nations with globally rated universities and institutions do not rely on their army for such basic functions. In Pak, the army makes sure that most significant funding in billions comes solely to it – any minor/major development will have to come from there – this does not justify army’s inordinate economic control/power.If people keep believing that without the army, India would destroy Pak, you will only see how your country/army does it on their own

  8. xizvw says:

I am an Indian kk its f9 its ur army.U love it and u should love it.But dont u think democracy can solve problem better than army?army is to protect borders not to rule inside country.Agree ?

  9. shoaibbaz says:

you are right and our army is doing the same… there are some black sheep but you cant blame the whole army… Like now our army got alot ov reasons to impose marshal law but they are not cuz they want democracy

  10. gurpreetgoraya says:

The thing is, you can either have a military controlled regime or a democratic one. Not both. Democracy takes a while to set in, that is the period of ‘unrest’. Its easy to get disillusioned, but the end result is always better. What was Pakistan really meant to be? Definitely not what it is becoming.
